Dasea Gallery X Renia Maj - Exhibition, screen prints and Baltic WAXholic set

On May 16th, we officially opened Dasea Gallery – a new project born from the need to support people creating true, organic, and physical things in times when an increasing amount of the internet is flooded with AI-generated content.

We want to provide a space for artists who still create with their own hands and sensibilities, whether it's a poster, illustration, photograph, ceramics, graphic design, or artistic objects.

Dasea Gallery is a place for people with character, their own visual language, and an authentic view of the world.

The first artist to be featured in our gallery is Renia Maj – a graphic designer and visual artist born in Krakow, a graduate of Graphic Arts at the University of the West of England in Bristol. From 2019 to 2025, she was associated with the Traffic Design Association in Gdynia, which, incidentally, is responsible for the sign hanging above our store. Currently, she works independently, engaging in design and artistic initiatives, most recently as the curator of the Strefy Czasowe festival. You can find her work at @renia_maj.

In her work, Renia focuses on public art, landscape, architectural details, and visual identification of places. She is the author of, among other things, the design of the sign and windows of Delikatesy Aldek, the signage for the Kosmos cafe in Gdynia, and an art installation on the Anna German 7 building in Warsaw.

In our store, she presented illustrations made using the screen printing method. They are available at prices of PLN 249 and PLN 379, depending on the print size.

The exhibition opening was accompanied by a vinyl DJ set by Baltic WAXholic, who for several hours mixed house with jazz, creating a calm, summer atmosphere in the heart of the city. Dorian Butkiewicz stood behind the decks, bringing energy and musical sensibility that perfectly complemented the exhibition's atmosphere. This is exactly the kind of experience we aim for – a bit of an exhibition, a bit of a gathering, a bit of music, a bit of a shop.

Renia's exhibition will be available at Dasea People until the beginning of the holidays.
Then, another artist will be featured.

See you soon.
